Dis-Easeの用法

　私は、英語ネイティヴスピーカーの一般的な学術用語において、Dis-Easeがどのように使われているかを知りたいと思います。ご存じのように疾病（disease）と病い（illness）の二分法のように、あなたは、Dis-Easeを「社会化した疾患（socialized disease）」というふうに［疾病概念を］拡大したかたちで使った、すなわち［Dis-Easeを］疾病あるいは人間の苦悩の社会的意味である、というふうにお考えなのでしょうか。

I would like to ask on the usage of "dis-ease" in general academic discourse level of English native speaker. As you know disease / illness dichotomy, you mean Dis-Ease as extended usage of socialized disease (= social meaning of disease label or human suffering/predicament), don't you ?
I do not very much know the usage of Dis-Ease, but I eager to know how to use the word of "Dis-Ease." And I think the illness semantics relating adovocacy for re-socialized of disease and illness in future.

　私は、病気＝安易ならざるもの（"dis-ease"）概念というふうに［disとeaseを］節合させたあなたの理解――少なくとも私はそう考えますが――は、まったく正しいと思います。
　私は、この用語を第一に次のことを想起させる、あるいは発見的な手段としてとらえています。つまり、個人の「疾病（disease）」から、社会の疾病へと移行させることです。それは、「障害」［という言葉］のように、規範の外にある存在として見なされかつ理解がなされているような、具体的な状態が容易に引き起こしている、社会的落胆、不快、不安、安楽の欠如［そのものである］というふうに、疾病をとらえることです。
　もちろん、医療人類学の研究者として、私たちはdis-ease［という言葉］を「疾病（disease）」の理念がどのように理解されているかと仮想的に定義していると考えたいのですが、しかしながら「病気＝安易ならざるもの（"dis-ease"）」という言葉を使用することによって、我々自身（＝医療人類学者）と人類学の他の下位領域とそれらの幅広い関連領域における我々の同僚の双方に対して、［この病気＝容易ならざるものの存在を］常に思い起こさせてくれるものとして考えたいのです。

I think the understanding you articulate for the concept of "dis-ease", at least as I use it, is quite accurate. I use the term primarily as a reminder or heuristic device to relocate "disease" from the individual to the social--the social dismay, discomfort, anxiety, lack of ease caused by embodied conditions that are viewed/perceived as being outside the norm, disabling, etc. Of course, as scholars of medical anthropology we likely consider this virtually a definition of how we understand the idea of "disease" but the use of "dis-ease" serves as a continual reminder both to ourselves and to our colleagues from other sub-disciplines in anthropology and disciplines in the broader academy.
