行政担当者がオリンピックに浮かれるのは（帰結としての）営利収益だろうが――それすら経済効果がないという分析が近年浮上してきた――、信じられないのは、スポーツを娯楽や趣味として金銭を「消費する」市井の人たちが「浮かれすぎ」ていることだ。その多くの人たちはオリンピック「開発」に伴う都市の再開発というジェントリフィケーションの犠牲者になりえる可能性があるにも関わらず。
